Birth

Shouripur city was ruled by Chakravoti Samudra vijay and queen Shivarani.Queen was destined to become a mother of tirthankar,as she visualised 14 auspicious dreams.

At the midnight of shravan shud panchami,the prince was born.There was much of rejoice in the kingdom.

Since pregnancy,the city was miles away from crime & unwanted elements, besides the queen dreamt nami(Arista chakra of diamonds).So the prince was named Aristanami.

Marriage-

When prince Aristanami came of age,he was persuaded to get married by elder brother krishna's wives,Rukmini & Satyabhama.Rajimati princess,the younger sister of satyabhama & daughter of king Ugrasena was the choosen bride.

Diksha-

On the day of the marriage as the bridegroom's party arrived at the bride's place,they saw a number of captivated animals,who were very terrified.When prince aristanami saw them,his heart was filled with pity.He felt very sad.He felt that because of him all the animals would be killed & cooked.His heart was filled with grief & sorrow.On the spot he decided not to marry.He ordered his charioteer and turn the chariot back to Dwaraka.He removed all his ornaments & gave it to his charioteer.After coming to Dwaraka he decided to take dikshya.

He took dikshya & underwent loach vidhi. Princess Rajmati was too shooked when prince, Arishtanami turned away from marriage. She too decided to take Dikshya.

Nirvan -

Bhagwan Arishtanami, sacrificed food & water for a month & attained Nirvan at Revatgiri.
